Fall is here! Which means pumpkin patches, brown leaves, apple cider, scarves, and hay rides. With the season and holidays approaching, it is time to pull out the mod-podge and faux leaves to create some exciting Fall seasonal crafts for your home!
Sparkly Leaf Garland
A leaf garland can be an easy and fun way to spruce up your home for the season, all you need are some print-out leaf shapes, a paintbrush to apply Elmer’s glue, and then your choice of glitter to sprinkle on and apply. After you have glittered all your leaves, you just need a hole punch and some ribbon. These sparkly decorations will leave your home with shimmer and ready for the Fall.
Colorful acorns can be a fun way to spruce up your home decoration without even realizing you did the project yourself. First, you will need the acorns, but then you will place acorns on a foil-lined cookie sheet and bake at 170* for a few hours, usually no more than two. Use acrylic craft paints and a paint brush to paint your acorns. Brush strokes will make a difference in the acorns’ appearance so brush with the grain of the nut. If any of the caps fall of the acorns, you can just use superglue to fix. After you finish painting them, set them off to the side to dry. That is all there is to it! Once they have finished drying, we recommend putting them into a decorative holder, fall themed is even better.
A fireplace display is perfect because it’s very Fall-chic, but it can last until Thanksgiving time. If you don’t have a fireplace, don’t fret, this display can be the perfect dining room table centerpiece. First, drape a trio of plaid printed-fabric squares atop the mantel or laid out across your table, you can keep them in position with an assortment of colorful gourds and fake leaves. Add height and depth with branches in glass cylinder vases.
